I first met Sonny back when he was singing for a band called Savalas. I was playing for Monsula at the time and we did some gigs together. Later,J Church did some shows with Angelhair and finally, we did some West Coast dates with the VSS.

They had put out a few great singles and were amazing live. They were also really up for touring. I was shocked to find out that they hadn't been talking with a million labels to release their album. I still think it was a stroke of luck that I got to do this classic album.

band split shortly after this album came out. But you can still
hear 3/4 of them in Pleasure Forever currently living on SubPop.
